Dougherty, James A. Endowed Scholarship in Construction Technology
The James A. Dougherty Endowed Scholarship in Construction Technology was established in memory of James A. Dougherty in 2002 by his colleagues and friends in the construction industry. Dougherty was an ºÚÁÏÊÓÆµ native and a lifelong area resident who had a long and distinguished career as a labor negotiator. He served as director of the Labor Relations Division of the ºÚÁÏÊÓÆµ Builder’s Exchange for more than 30 years. He was known and respected for his fairness and honesty by both labor and management. Dougherty was active in his community and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
The associations establishing this scholarship are: AGC of Ohio, ºÚÁÏÊÓÆµ Division; Labor Relations Division of ºÚÁÏÊÓÆµ; Mechanical Contractors Association of ºÚÁÏÊÓÆµ; and the Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors of ºÚÁÏÊÓÆµ-Canton-Mansfield.
