McDowell, Mary Percoco Scholarship
The Mary Percoco McDowell Scholarship was established in 1998 through a generous bequest following the passing of Mary Percoco McDowell on December 8, 1997.
Margherita "Mary" Percoco McDowell was born in ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ on August 13, 1921, and remained a lifelong resident of the area. She was a graduate of St. Vincent High School and pursued higher education at St. Mary's College-Notre Dame in South Bend, Barry University in Miami, Florida, and The University of ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ.
As part of her legacy, Mary directed in her will that a scholarship be created in her name at The University of ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ to support deserving students with financial need.
The Mary Percoco McDowell Scholarship is open to full- or part-time students pursuing any field of study at The University of ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ. Eligible students must demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid, and maintain good academic standing.
Recipients are selected by The University Scholarship Committee in the Office of Student Financial Aid.
