Stein, Dorothy Hassenflue Fund

The Dorothy Hassenflue Stein Fund was created by Trustee, George Farris, as an additional opportunity to provide funding for a student assistant position in the Department of Development through the Dorothy Hassenflue Stein Trust. By immersing themselves in a real-world office environment, students acquire valuable, transferable skills, ensuring they are well prepared and "job ready'' upon graduation.

Established in 1997 and revised in 2016 and again in 2017, The Dorothy Hassenflue Stein Scholarship provides full academic assistance for the most meritorious undergraduate students attending The University of ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ. The scholarship honors the memory of Stein's parents, Dr. John William Hassenflue (1874-1956) and Mertie Elma Prange (1878-1946), as well as Stein's love for the endurance of family, the pursuit of knowledge, and the future of young people.

The Dorothy Hassenflue Stein Fund provides funding for the student assistant position in the Office of Development. Available to Dorothy Hassenflue Stein Scholarship recipients only, The Center for Gift and Estate Planning will review applications and identify the eligible candidates for this position.
